I've wanted to try Ludi's for a while now since I work nearby. Today was the day I took my boyfriend, Kevin, here to try it with me for brunch. He's never had Filipino food so it was quite exciting to see his reaction. When we walked in, the place was almost packed! I think it was around 10:30AM? I could tell I would love this place already because of the cool ambiance. When we got seated, we were immediately served water and greeted with a, "Good Morning!". The servers were very friendly and nice!

We each ordered a combo-silog which was $13 each. It said on the menu that "silog" meant garlic rice and eggs. The food came out pretty fast! It also came with a little bowl of tomatoes soaked in Maggi sauce which was DELICIOUS with the garlic rice that came with the combo-silog. The combo-silog consists of garlic rice (yum garlic ^-^), 2 longanizas, a pork chop, 2 eggs (any style), and 3 lumpias. I realized that longaniza has different spellings. I actually came here for the longanizas but I wanted to go all out. I was mostly excited to see Kevin's face after his first bite. He LOVED it! Seriously, cravings satisfied. As we ate the servers would make sure we had enough water and that we were enjoying our food. I love the attention! One of the other waiters or chefs came out with a bowl of corn beef for us to try. How sweet of him! We also enjoyed that too! The food was enough for both of us to each bring back a take out box for dinner. When the server saw that we didn't finish our food, he kindly asked why, looking as if we didn't like the food. So I had to assure him that it was super good! (not lying). They really reminded me of the cheerful, friendly, and lively part of the Filipino culture. I definitely left Ludi's with a happy tummy and in better mood!

I hardly give 5 stars but I've never been so happy at a restaurant before. Good job Ludi's! Smiles are contagious! Keep up the great service and yummy food! Can't wait to try more! Overall: attentive staff, great food, hip ambiance.
